The itinerary

Day 01

Tarangire National Park and Elephant Country

Pickup: We will pick you up from your Arusha accommodation and proceed to Tarangire National Park.
Park: This is one of the largest national parks in Tanzania in the Manyara region.
Wildlife/Features: This place is characterized by large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees, also called the Tree of Life for the almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it.
River: This park is especially known for the Tarangire River, which flows all year round.
Game drive: After a whole-day game drive, you will be transferred to the hotel in the evening for dinner, a warm shower, and an overnight stay.

Central Serengeti Game Drive in Seronera

Day 04

Ngorongoro Crater Wildlife Safari

After breakfast: We will leave for an early morning drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a game drive.
UNESCO World Heritage Site: This is another UNESCO World Heritage Site located west of Arusha in the crater highlands of Tanzania.
Crater: This area is named after Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest caldera.
Landscape/Wildlife: The stunning landscape of Ngorongoro, with its vast expanses of highland plains and concentration of wildlife of some 25,000 animals, makes this place one of the most exotic natural wonders on earth.
Game drive: After a whole-day game drive, you will be transferred to the hotel in the evening for dinner, a warm shower, and an overnight stay.

Day 05

Lake Manyara via a Maasai Village

After breakfast: We will drive to Lake Manyara via a Maasai village.
Name origin: The park derives its name from the Maasai word Manyara, which is the name for the plant Euphorbia tirucalli, a plant the Maasai people use to grow livestock stockades.
Plant: Manyara produces a stock-proof hedge, which is very durable among other similar kinds.
Geography: A specimen of Euphorbia tirucalli can be found at the entrance gate of the Great Rift Valley, belonging to the fault line in the earth's crust which stretches 8,000 kilometers (4,971 miles) from Turkey to the mouth of the Zambezi River in Mozambique.

Return to Arusha or Airport Transfer

Drive back to Arusha or transfer to the airport.

Know before you go

All safaris are conducted in a 4x4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof for the best wildlife viewing.
Roads inside the parks are dusty and sometimes bumpy.
Wildlife sightings cannot be 100% guaranteed, but our guides are highly experienced.
Tanzania uses Type D and G plugs (230V). Bring a universal adapter.
Local currency is Tanzanian shillings (TZS), but USD (new notes printed after 2009) is widely accepted.
ATMs are available in Arusha, with limited access inside the parks.
Travel insurance is highly recommended.
A yellow fever certificate may be required if arriving from certain countries.
The best wildlife viewing times are early morning and late afternoon.
