Cluj Napoca Strat Point
The tour starts at 8 o'clock in the morning with a pickup from your accommodation in Cluj-Napoca.
We will travel a distance of 80 km to Rogojel Village . Before we start our hike we will make a short stop at the Sequoia tree. In this area there are many authentic wooden houses and the Romanian traditional customs are still kept.
Vladeasa Peak
Vlădeasa Mountains are the northernmost of the three high central massifs of the Western Transylvanian (Apuseni) Mountains.
The main ridge of the Vlădeasa massif is about 50km long. The eastern ridge boasts the highest peak named Vf. Vlădeasa which tops out at 1836m. It is the third-highest summit in the Apuseni Mountains.
Sequoia tree
The most imposing tree from Apuseni Mountains arrived at the base of Vladeasa Mountain more than a decade ago. Is situated on God’s Hill.
Gal Silvestru, a Hungarian baron who liked to study the trees, planted several rare species in the area, such as sequoia, black pin and Zada The two giants staring nostalgia for more than 150 years on the snowy peak of Vladeasa dreaming of the North American lands where they were brought.
Bridal Veil Falls
From Rogojel village we will travel by car for about 30 minutes to catch the sunset at Rachitele Waterfall (Bridal Falls).
"It is said that during a marriage the bride had fallen off the lofty cliff. She had found her end, but her veil got hung up on the cliff. Wedding guests mourned her with bitter tears which formed the waterfall... or so the story goes and who doesn't like stories? ''
