Spend a full day at the world's largest caldera on a safari through the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands. Descend more than 600 metres into the crater for game drives among abundant wildlife and birdlife, including predators and large herds on the crater floor. Day 01

Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Pick up from any hotel around 5 am in Arusha.

After an early breakfast, descend over 600 metres into the crater to view wildlife.
See a vast variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another major drawcard of this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.
Visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here.
Transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight, or an airport drop-off.
