The itinerary

1
Day 01

Arrival at Entebbe and Transfer to Your Hotel

  • Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, meet your guide and transfer to the lodge or hotel, where you will have time to unwind.

Dinner and overnight stay at Sheraton Hotel Kampala or Anderita Hotel Entebbe.

2
Day 02

Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

  • After breakfast, drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Enjoy views from the top of the thunderous Murchison Falls, where the River Nile squeezes itself through a 7-meter gorge before tumbling 40 meters down in a dramatic explosion. It then flows into a peaceful river whose banks are swarmed with a profusion of water and land animals and birds. If time allows, you may also go for a hike. The journey takes around 5 hours from Kampala, covering about 305 km. Enter through the Kichumbanyobo Gate. Paara lies about 85 km from Masindi town by the shortest route.
  • Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will track rhinos on foot. This is a truly unusual experience with great picture-taking opportunities. You will be led by a ranger who takes you within 10 meters of the rhinos, making it one of the most adventurous activities of the trip. The sanctuary aims to protect the rhinos and eventually release them into Murchison Falls Park, where they once lived in abundance under heavy protection.
