The itinerary

Day 01

Cullinan Diamond Mine Surface and Underground Tour

Pick-up from Johannesburg, Sandton, or Pretoria, wherever you are staying.
Arrive at the mine and enjoy a surface tour. Visitors will see the big hole, the shaft, and the diamond room, where a selection of uncut diamonds and replicas of world-famous diamonds are displayed.
Embark on the underground tour. Visitors are fitted with safety clothing and equipment before descending 763 m underground to view the following:
- Admin offices, workshop, rest area, and refuge bay (for emergencies)
- Loading and tipping of ore
- Crushing of ore and the conveyor belt transporting the ore
Return to the surface and visit the lookout point overlooking the big hole, as well as the diamond cutting and polishing workshop and the diamond shop.
Drive back to Johannesburg, Sandton, or Pretoria.
