The itinerary

Day 01

Zanzibar to Selous with Game Drive and Boat Safari

Depart from Zanzibar or Dar-es-Salaam to reach Selous Game Reserve.
Get picked up at any airstrips near the reserve, including Mtemere, Siwandu, and Matambwe.
Proceed on a game drive inside the reserve.
Have lunch at your accommodation and relax until late in the afternoon.
Go on a short boat game drive followed by dinner.

Day 02

Full-Day Wildlife Viewing in Selous Game Reserve

Go for a game drive into Selous Game Reserve with your tour guide after breakfast.
Spot a variety of animals such as elephants, black rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles. This vast reserve measures up to 50,000 sq. km and remains practically undisturbed by human interference.
Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch and dinner.

Day 03

Rufiji River Game Drive and Bird-Watching Boat Ride

Go on a half-day game drive along the Rufiji River after breakfast. You may witness natural hot springs, but this depends on the weather conditions.
Drive back to the lodge with the tour guide.
Rest for a while before going bird watching on a boat ride.
