The itinerary

Day 01

Nairobi to Tsavo East and Aruba Dam

  • Get picked up from your Nairobi hotel early in the morning.

  • Join the group and head to Tsavo East Park.

  • Arrive in time for lunch and check in at Aruba Lodge.

  • In the afternoon, go on a game drive and visit Aruba Dam. This park is famous for the "man-eaters of Tsavo".

In the late evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 02

Full-Day Game Viewing in Tsavo East

  • Spend the day exploring the park. See dust-red elephants wallowing, rolling, and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of the palm-shaded Galana River - one of the most evocative images in Africa.

  • The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the large mammals, such as the vast herds of dust-red elephants, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, Lesser Kudu, gerenuk, and prolific birdlife featuring over 500 recorded species.

Meals and overnight at Aruba Lodge.

Day 03

Tsavo East to Tsavo West Safari

  • After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park and check in for lunch at Ngulia Safari Lodge.

  • Relax at your lodge until four in the afternoon.

  • Then, the driver will pick you up and lead the group for an afternoon game drive.

  • Spot the maneless lions in the park.

Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 04

Tsavo West to Amboseli via Mzima Springs

  • After breakfast, check out and depart for Amboseli National Park, with a game drive en route.

  • A stop at the famous Mzima Springs is guaranteed before the van joins the security convoy at ten in the morning. Witness the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out from under the parched lava rock.

  • Arrive at the camp in time for lunch and relax.

  • Get picked up from Kibo Safari Camp for the afternoon game drives. You now have a chance to see the biggest herds of elephants. Also, enjoy great views of Mt Kilimanjaro - the highest mountain in Africa.

Amboseli to Nairobi Departure

  • Depart from the camp after breakfast.

  • Drop off at a Nairobi hotel or the international airport.
