Delhi to Agra by Gatimaan Express and Taj Mahal Tour
06:30 am: Pick up from your hotel in New Delhi.
Drive to Nizamuddin Railway Station to catch the superfast train to Agra. You will be provided with e-tickets either by email or through our representative.
The train departs Delhi at 08:00 am. Please carry a valid ID proof such as a passport or driver's license with you.
09:50 am: Arrive in the city of love - Agra.
Your driver and guide will be waiting to welcome you at the Agra Cantt. Railway Station exit with a name board.
Head to the magnificent Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world.
Witness this monument, built in the 16th century, which holds a grand history of love and affection that Emperor Shah Jahan had for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The expected time to explore the mausoleum is 1 hour 30 minutes.
12:30 pm: Transfer to Agra Fort and explore the heart of the Mughal Empire. The building gives you an insight into the glorious rule of the Mughals. The expected time to explore Agra Fort is 1 hour.
2:00 pm: Enjoy lunch at a multi-cuisine air-conditioned restaurant.
3:00 pm: Stop for shopping; Agra is known for its fabulous marble handicrafts with soft-stone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts, and Empress Nur Jahan took a personal interest and was an accomplished artist in Zari embroidery work. Agra's major handicraft products, besides inlay work, include leather ware, brassware, carpets, jewellery, and embroidery work.
5:00 pm: Drive to Agra Cantt. Railway Station and board the train back to Delhi. Relax on the train for about an hour.
5:50 pm: The train leaves from Agra to Delhi.
7:30 pm: Arrive back at Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi.
Our driver will pick you up from the station and drop you back at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
