The journey
This itinerary focuses on Tanzania's northern wildlife parks: Serengeti, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater. The region is well known for its annual migration of more than two million animals, driven by changing weather patterns and seasonal timing. Along the way, you will also visit Olduvai Gorge and experience Maasai culture through a village tour.

Day by day
Upon arriving in Tanzania through any legal entry point, you will meet me after your visa procedures. Depending on your arrival time, I will transfer you to your overnight hotel or begin your safari on the same day.
Enjoy a full-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, then drive back to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay on a full board basis (lunch, dinner, bed, and breakfast).
After breakfast, drive from your lodge in Karatu to Ndutu/Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge and a Maasai village for a village tour. Oldupai, often misinterpreted as Olduvai Gorge, is the famous archaeological site where Dr. Luis and Mary Leakey found the skull of early man dating back 3.6 million years.
After the museum tour, followed by a brief lecture about the scientific findings in the area, you will continue past the Maasai village, home to the most distinctive cultural tribe in the region.
After the Maasai village visit, continue on your way to Ndutu.
Upon arriving at your lodge or camp in the afternoon, you will head out for an evening game drive.
Return for dinner and an overnight stay at your booked lodge or camp on a full board basis (lunch, dinner, bed, and breakfast).
Leaving your Ndutu (South Serengeti) camp early in the morning with both breakfast and lunch, you will set out for a full-day tour.
Enjoy a full-day tour in the Serengeti en route to the central Serengeti, where you will overnight on a full board basis.
On this day, your private guide will take you on a tour of the central Serengeti National Park. You will have the chance to explore the central area of the Serengeti.
Drive back to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay on a full board basis.
After breakfast, you will leave your lodge or camp in Ndutu and drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a tour with a packed lunch.
Descend into the crater for a full-day game drive.
After the game drive in the crater, we will drive to a hotel in Karatu for an overnight stay on a full board basis.
On this day, you will leave your hotel in Karatu and drive back to Arusha for your international flight home. This will be the end of the tour.
