6-Day Cambodia Temple and Village Tour with Tonlé Sap and Beng Mealea

• Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport, where our English-speaking guide or driver will transfer you to your hotel in the morning or late afternoon.

• Travel by private bus or car to visit the beautiful Bayon Temple, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King.

• Accompanied by your English-speaking local guide, you will learn about the historical evolution of the Khmer Kingdom and the construction of the temples.

• Continue to the famous Angkor Wat to gain insight into Cambodia's rich cultural and artistic heritage, then climb to the top of the temple for sunset.

• Begin the day with a visit to Banteay Srei Temple, where the sculptures are carved in rose-pink sandstone with incredibly precise features.

• Afterwards, travel to Kbal Spean, the River of a Thousand Lingas, known for its ancient carvings on the riverbed.

• On your way back, depending on the time, you may continue to magnificent temples such as Ta Prohm, surrounded by the jungle, and enjoy the beautiful scenery through this mini jungle.

• Leave your hotel early in the morning to head to the floating village.

• Take a boat ride on Tonlé Sap Lake to the flooded forest at Prek Toal and explore life in a traditional floating village. Stop to take photos of the fishers, watch bird flights around the lake, and visit the Community of Osmose.

• In the afternoon, enjoy the swimming pool, walk around town to the shopping center, or visit the artisan school.

• Reach the starting point for your bike ride through the villages to observe the villagers' simple lifestyle and visit their schools and farms, as arranged with your tour guide.

• Continue to the secluded Choa Srei Vibol Temple.

• Visit the Roluos temple group, including Lolei, Preah Ko, and Phnom Bakheng.

• Before dark, stop at a village to enjoy dinner with a local family in their home. Spend the night in a village house or book a hotel.

• Visit Prasat Beng Mealea Temple for a real picture of how the Angkor region must have looked when the French discovered it in 1868. Located a little farther from the Angkor region, Beng Mealea is the same size as Angkor Wat and is surrounded by the jungle.

• Marvel at the lovely, unspoiled countryside and its small villages.

• After breakfast, you will be picked up and transferred to the airport for your flight home.
