5-Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari through Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro

• In the morning, drive north of Arusha, crossing the Masai plains and continuing to Tarangire National Park.

• Spot zebras, buffalo, gazelle, eland, and oryx. The park also holds a high concentration of elephants.

• Enjoy a game-viewing drive in the park.

• Later in the afternoon, drive out of the park with splendid views of the Great Rift Valley wall and continue on to the Ngorongoro Highlands.

• Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and continue to Serengeti National Park, enjoying a game-viewing drive en route with a packed lunch.

• Every year, more than a million wildebeests, zebras, and Thomson's gazelles gather to undertake the long trek in search of grazing land. This is popularly referred to as the Great Annual Migration. The park is also rich in plains game and predators.

• Optional: A hot air balloon safari is available over the Serengeti Plains.

• Drive out of Serengeti National Park with a game-viewing drive en route and continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

• Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game-viewing drive, where you can see the Big Five: lion, cheetah, buffalo, elephant, and rhino.

• Enjoy a picnic lunch served at the crater picnic site.

• In the late afternoon, ascend the crater.
