Day 01

Journey to Kandy via Pinnawala

Head to Kandy after meeting your guide for the perfect start to your journey.
Visit the elephant orphanage at Pinnawala, where you can help feed baby elephants abandoned by their mothers.
Explore the city of Kandy, which revolves around a lake in the heart of the town.
Enjoy shopping at the great Kandyan bazaar, teeming with the sounds and sights of trade, alongside the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha.
Once refreshed, watch the traditional Kandyan Cultural Performance.
Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 02

Kandy Lake and City Highlights

Visit Kandy Lake, the city's most famous landmark, located in the centre of Kandy.
Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03

Scenic Journey to Nuwara Eliya

Travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya as the road begins to ascend steadily.
Climb to approximately 1,500 m, venturing into the tea country where you will see tea plantations and the white-coloured tea factories at regular intervals.
Enjoy glimpses of the surrounding waterfalls, along with a few rice fields and vegetable plantations.
Enter the resort town of Nuwara Eliya, also called Little England, situated 2,070 m above sea level.
Visit the little lake and its surroundings for a glimpse into nature.
Head to the hotel for the night.

Day 04

Nuwara Eliya Architecture and Tea Experience

Drive through the little town, where the architecture is a highlight.
Visit the busy market, where you can watch tea plantation workers go about their day.
Stop at the botanical gardens, or spend the evening walking in the cool climate.
Take the opportunity to visit a tea factory and taste one of the finest teas in the world.
Return to your hotel in Colombo.
