Fly from Addis Ababa to Mekele. Upon arrival in Mekele, meet the tour manager and set out on a drive through the desert.
Reach Erta Ale by evening and enjoy the surroundings of the active volcano.
Drive 30 km to the campsite for an overnight stay.
Set out early in the morning for Hamed Ela, a small village dependent on salt works.
Visit the Danakil Depression, the hottest place in the world.
Return to the campsite for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, set out on a drive towards Dallol.
Arrive in the cinder cone volcanic area, which seems like another planet, and explore its colourful hot springs.
Drive back to Mekele to catch the flight back to Addis Ababa that same evening.
