Begin at Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta during the early 11th century as a religious shrine.
Proceed to Ku Byauk Gyi, a temple with superb murals depicting Jataka scenes.
Visit Bu Lei Thee Pagoda, noted for its panoramic views of the numerous monuments in the area.
Bow your head at Ananda Temple, home to four magnificent standing Buddha images.
After lunch at a local restaurant, continue with a visit to one of Myanmar's most treasured handicrafts - a lacquerware craftsmen workshop in nearby Myinkaba village.
Visit Manuha Temple, built in Mon style in 1059, and Nanbaya Temple, a unique sandstone monument said to have been the palace of King Manuha.
Witness a mesmerizing sunset view from a temple.
Transfer back to the hotel.
