Salt Lick Lodge is especially memorable for its imaginative structure. A complex of rondavels sits on stilts over a series of water holes. The two-storey towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs, are connected by open-air bridges, creating an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind - one can see animals in all directions because it offers spectacular open views.
Kilaguni Lodge is situated in the center of Tsavo West National Park with a view of the Chyulu Hills and the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro. The main building provides a unique view of the waterhole, which attracts zebra, buffalo, elephants, antelope, warthog, and many more. Each room at Kilaguni Lodge has a view of the waterhole or Kilimanjaro.
