5-Day Safari of Masai Mara and Rift Valley Lakes from Nairobi

• Meet your guide and depart from Nairobi at 7.30 am. 

• While driving southwards via the Rift Valley viewpoint, admire the escarpment of the place. 

• Stop at a Little Italian church, which the Italians built during the construction of the road. 

• Reach Nakuru in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National park. The park is known to be a birds sanctuary so-called because the entire surface of the lake is covered by both the lesser and greater flamingos.

• Explore this park known for its 'big five', excluding the elephants. It is the only park in Kenya where one is assured of seeing both white and black rhinos.

• Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

• After breakfast, leave the hotel for a drive to Lake Naivasha. 

• On arrival, visit Hell’s Gate Park, one of the few parks where people can walk or cycle to see wild animals.

• Packed lunch will be served in the park or at a budget hotel.

• See geothermal power station along with the breathtaking scenery.

Dinner and overnight at the campsite or budget hotel.

• Have breakfast, and then drive via Narok town to Masai Mara for lunch at the camp.

• After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive in Masaai Mara game reserve famous for its black-maned lion and yearly migrations of wildebeests from Serengeti in Tanzania to Masai Mara in Kenya.

• Dinner and overnight at a budget camp.

• Have breakfast, and then leave the camp for a whole day game drive in the park.

• Enjoy and admire the great wildlife which inhibits this unique park. Both the zebras and the wildebeests migrate from Serengeti in Tanzania to Kenya and vice versa. This migration takes place from July to October annually.

• Have picnic lunch near the Mara river. Several other animals are also present here, such as lion, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, oryx, etc.

• Back to budget camp for both dinner and overnight.

• Wake up early in the morning for a game drive to see animals sun bathing.

• Go back to the camp for late breakfast, followed by departure to Nairobi.

• On the way back, stop periodically for breathtaking views and taking photos.

• Lunch will be served en route.

• Arrival in Nairobi will be in the afternoon. 

• End journey in Nairobi with an optional dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant or drop off at the airport for onward journey to next destination.
