Day 01

Bagan Temples, Lacquerware, and Sunset

Pick-up from your hotel at 09:00 am.
Visit Shwe San Daw, an 11th-century temple built by the founder of the first Myanmar Empire. Be amazed by the sight of temples that seem to rise from the ground like mushrooms.
Continue to Sulamani, a 12th-century temple; Dhammayangyi, a 12th-century temple and the most massive in Bagan; and Ananda, an 11th-century temple that is said to be the most beautiful one in the area.
Stop for lunch.
Visit more temples, such as Manuha, known for its biggest Buddha statues; Nanpaya, a stone temple; and Thatbyinnyu, the highest temple.
See how lacquerware is made at a local cottage industry.
