Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Arnarstapi and Hellnar Harbour

  • Drive to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, dominated by the Snæfellsjökull glacier, where, according to Jules Verne's book "Journey to the Centre of the Earth", the actual entrance to the centre of the earth can be found.

  • Visit the tiny fishing hamlet of Arnarstapi for its rich summertime birdlife, as well as Hellnar Harbour, where a lovely little café is open during the summer months. The surroundings are magnificent, with an abundance of basaltic columns and lava fields. We will continue our tour to some other interesting spots on the peninsula.
