Day by day
Early pick-up from your hotel, followed by a drive to Lake Nakuru. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
After breakfast, set off for Lake Naivasha, located on the rims of the Great Rift Valley. Lunch will be en route, and the afternoon can be spent game viewing. Other options include a boat trip combined with a nature walk on Crescent Island, birdwatching in the vicinity of the lake, or visiting the nearby Crater Lake Sanctuary. You may also enjoy horse riding and bicycling.
Overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Lodge.
After breakfast, drive south-west through the floor of the Great Rift Valley. There is an optional boat ride on Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake with picturesque views of Mount Longonot, hippos, and over 400 species of birds on the island, including pelicans, African fish eagles, African darters, cormorants, and lesser flamingos.
Proceed to the lodge for lunch.
Venture out on an afternoon game drive across the vast Mara plains, looking for predators such as dark-maned lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as the many herbivore species that appear during the migratory season. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Serena Lodge/Keekorok Lodge.
Begin the morning with a safari deep inside the reserve, witnessing an abundance of wild animals on the golden grasslands.
Have breakfast.
Depart for a full day of game viewing, followed by lunch in the bush.
Return to your lodge late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge/Keekorok Lodge.
On your final day in Masai Mara, you may opt for an exciting early morning balloon safari, an experience in itself, for an extra $550 per person. You may also choose to visit a Masai Village between meals and safari excursions, or simply relax by the pool in the afternoon.
Meet around the campfire and end the day by swapping stories about the sights and experiences. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge/Keekorok Lodge, where you can enjoy falling asleep to the merry sounds of the African Savannah.
Wake up for an early morning game drive.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast, followed by a mid-morning at your leisure.
Transfer to Nairobi or to the airport for your flight back home.
