Travel along the N2 highway towards the Gordon's Bay coastline, which offers good opportunities for photographs and whale watching.
Visit the African Penguin colony in Betty's Bay, a great place to see the flightless birds in their natural environment.
Arrive at the coastal town of Hermanus.
Drive along its coastline looking for the best sightings of Southern Right whales, which visit the bay annually during the calving season.
Take a lunch break at one of the many little restaurants dotted along the coastline, overlooking the huge bay area.
Travel along the 85 km coastline towards the city.
Continue searching the coastline for Southern Right whales on the way back.
Stop for a wine tasting session in Hemel-en-Aarde Valley.
Arrive in Cape Town at approximately 6:00 pm.
