8-Day Kenya Wildlife Safari through Amboseli, Samburu and Masai Mara

• Get picked up from your respective hotel or the airport in the morning and drive to Amboseli National Park, famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and its wide open plains.

• Arrive with a short game drive en route to Amboseli Sopa Lodge, then check in, have lunch, and enjoy a short rest.

• Later, head out for an afternoon game drive in the park.

Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

• Have an early morning breakfast, enjoy a game drive en route, and leave Amboseli for Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch at Sarova Panafric Hotel. Check in and have lunch.

• In the afternoon, drive to Karen Blixen Museum and the Giraffe Center for an excursion, including the chance to feed giraffes.

Later, drive back to Sarova Panafric Hotel for dinner and overnight.

• Have an early morning breakfast at Sarova Panafric Hotel and depart for Samburu National Reserve through Mt Kenya.

• Pass through the Equator line at Nanyuki town.

• Arrive with a short game drive en route at Samburu.

• Check in at Ashnil Samburu Camp and have lunch.

• Enjoy a late afternoon game drive across the park, which is known for its unique resident wildlife species such as the reticulated giraffe, Gravy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and the blue-legged Somali ostrich.

Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp.

• Go for an early morning game drive, then return for breakfast at your camp.

• After breakfast, leave Samburu for Aberdare, arriving with a short game drive en route. Check in at Aberdare Hotel, have lunch, and relax.

• In the afternoon, transfer across Aberdare National Park to The Ark Lodge. The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges that provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. Here, the animals come to you.

Later, dinner and overnight at The Ark Hotel.

• Have an early morning breakfast, enjoy a game drive en route, and leave Aberdare for Lake Nakuru.

• Pass through the Great Rift Valley escarpment, arriving in time for lunch and check-in at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

• Enjoy an afternoon game drive across the Pink Lake, often referred to by this name because of its great masses of flamingos, and also look out for the famous white rhino and black rhino found in this park.

Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

• Have an early morning breakfast.

• After breakfast, leave Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara.

• Pass through Narok town.

• Arrive in time for lunch.

• Check in at Ashnil Mara Camp or Sarova Mara Game Camp and have lunch.

• Go on an afternoon game drive through the park in search of lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, and more.

Dinner and overnight at Ilkeliani Mara Camp or Mara Sopa Lodge.

• Enjoy an early morning game drive and return to camp for breakfast.

• After breakfast, spend the full day in the park with a packed lunch in search of its popular residents, including the well-known predators and their opponents such as zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, hippo, and dangerous crocodiles, with a visit to the Mara River.

Meals and overnight at Ilkeliani Mara Camp or Mara Sopa Lodge.

• Have an early morning breakfast at your camp or lodge, then check out of the camp and park.

• Drive to Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch at Carnivore.

• Afterwards, get dropped off at your respective hotel or the airport at around 3 pm.

  • Optional for clients with evening flights: if you have an evening flight, you can enjoy another game drive with a packed lunch until around 12:00 pm. After driving to Nairobi, arrive at around 5 to 6 pm and get dropped off at the airport or back at your hotel.
