The itinerary

Day 01

Nairobi to Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley

Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi and drive to Maasai Mara.
Pass through the Great African Rift Valley escarpment and the Maasai town of Narok.
Check in at Ashnil Mara Camp or Sarova Mara Game Camp and have lunch.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive through the park, searching for lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalos, and other Big Five members.

Dinner and overnight stay at Ashnil Mara Camp or Sarova Mara Game Camp.

Day 02

Full-Day Wildlife Viewing in Maasai Mara

Enjoy a full-day game drive in the park.
Spot black-maned lions, savannah elephants, Cape buffalos, wildebeests, leopards, cheetahs, spotted and striped hyenas, rhinos, topis, Burchell's zebras, Maasai giraffes, and other animals.

Dinner and overnight stay at Ashnil Mara Camp or Sarova Mara Game Camp.

Day 03

Lake Nakuru Safari and Flamingo Views

Listen to a brief explanation by the tour representative at 7 am about the Lake Nakuru safari.
Stop at a viewpoint for stunning scenery from an elevated position.
Continue travelling to Lake Nakuru Park.
Arrive at the park and look for rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, waterbucks, zebras, leopards, and more.
Have lunch during the warm midday at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Enjoy the view of thousands of flamingos that paint the lake's shores gorgeously pink.

Dinner and overnight stay at the safari lodge.

Day 04

Lake Naivasha Boat Trip and Crescent Island Walk

Drive to Kenya's highest lake at 1880 m above sea level, Lake Naivasha.
Explore the beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus, with hippos lazing in the lake and buffalos grazing on the shores.
Enjoy birdwatching and look for Grey-capped Warbler, Spectacled Weaver, Brimstone Canary, Red-billed Firefinch, and 350 other species.
Go on boat trips on the lake.
Walk through Crescent Island and look for wildebeests, zebras, and giraffes.

Dinner and overnight stay at the safari lodge.

Day 05

Hell's Gate National Park and Return to Nairobi

Pick up from the hotel and drive towards Hell's Gate National Park.
See over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, Augur Buzzard, and swifts.
Look for African buffalos, zebras, elands, hartebeests, Thomson's gazelles, baboons, Klipspringer antelopes, and Chanler's Mountain reedbucks.
Enjoy a picnic lunch and drive to Nairobi.
