Day 01

Pokhara to Bhumdi via World Peace Stupa

  • Cross Phewa Lake by boat to reach Chhorepatan, then climb up to the World Peace Stupa.

  • Continue further uphill to Pumdikot, then on to Sthirmati Hill and Kalabang before reaching Bhumdi.

Basic accommodation is available here in some homestays, and there is also one normal lodge in Bhumdi. Bhumdi will be your overnight stop.

Day 02

Bhumdi to Panchase Bhanjyang through the forest

  • Right after breakfast, start the trek.

  • From here, the trail continues all the way through the forest.

  • Along the way, you may see small open pastures where flocks of buffaloes or cows sometimes graze. At times, the singing sound of cicadas can also be heard.

  • During the monsoon, many bloodsuckers (leeches) can disturb your walk if you are not prepared enough to prevent them from coming near.

  • There are no tea houses in between, so you need to be prepared with some snacks or food and enough water.

  • After 6-7 hours, the walk brings you to Bhanjyang, a wonderful setting in itself. With the impression of a hamlet, it is scattered across a beautiful rural landscape.

Your overnight stay will be here.

Day 03

Day trip to Panchase Lake and Panchase Peak

  • Early in the morning, depending on the weather, you can decide whether to wake up for sunrise.

  • After breakfast, begin the walk to Panchase Lake, which is connected with Shravan Kumar, who carried his blind parents in a kharpan on pilgrimage to different religious places in the hope of restoring their eyesight. According to belief, they were granted a child only after losing their eyesight right after Shravan Kumar's birth. It is also believed that this small pond, known as the lake, is where Shravan Kumar met his untimely death from the arrow of King Dasarath, who mistook him for a deer because the sound of his scooping pot resembled a deer's bark.

  • After about 2-3 hours of walking, you will reach this pond or lake, where the temple is located.

  • Then climb up to Panchase Peak. If the weather is good, the view is perfect, and your eyes with poetic sight will unite.

  • Afterward, descend back to the lodge and rest and relax for the remainder of the day.

Day 04

Bhanjyang to Pokhara via Bhadaure and Kande

  • As mentioned above, depending on the weather, you may enjoy the sunrise.

  • Otherwise, after breakfast, continue to Bhadaure for about 3 hours and stop there either for lunch or some snacks.

  • Then continue onward to Kande.

  • The walk is enjoyable if the mountain vista opens up in front of you without being veiled by clouds.

  • From Kande, drive back to Pokhara to settle in and relax your tired muscles.
