Day 01

Begin in Dar es Salaam, a major city and commercial port on Tanzania's Indian Ocean coast that grew from a fishing village. The open-air Village Museum features re-created traditional homes of local and other Tanzanian tribes and hosts tribal dancing. It is part of the National Museum, which presents Tanzanian history exhibits, including fossils of human ancestors discovered by anthropologist Louis Leakey. Visit the city's various tourist attractions.
