The itinerary

Day 01

Jinghong to Menghai and Trek to a Bulang Village

At 8:00 AM, drive for 40 minutes from Jinghong to Menghai.
Visit the Menghai morning market, where you can see ethnic groups such as the Dai, Bulang, Aini, and Lahu.
Continue to Xiding for lunch.
Start trekking. Today's journey descends to a river for about one and a half hours, passing through the jungle, an Aini village, and tea and sugarcane plantations. The trek lasts about 5 hours.

Dinner and an overnight stay are in a Bulang village with houses on stilts. This village is a typical Bulang community in Xishuangbanna, with a history going back 1,400 years, including an old monastery.

Day 02

Trek Through Villages and Visit an Ancient Pagoda

Start trekking after breakfast.
Visit a pagoda that is more than 400 years old.
Descend to a river for 2 and a half hours.
Ascend for 1 hour to a Bulang village and have lunch in the village.
Trek for 1 hour to another village for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 03

Waterfall Walk and Return to Jinghong

After breakfast, walk down through the jungle for about 40 minutes to visit a waterfall, then return to the same village for lunch.
Continue trekking for about 2 and a half hours to Bada, where the car will be ready to take you back to Jinghong. This day includes about 4 hours of trekking.
