Day 01

Drive from Cairo to Saint Catherine

• Depart from Cairo and travel to the town of Saint Catherine. The journey takes approximately 6 hours.
• Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 02

Visit St. Catherine's Monastery

• Today, visit St. Catherine's Monastery, the oldest inhabited monastery in the world, built on the site where Moses spoke to God in the miracle of the Burning Bush. The monastery was built in the 3rd century by Empress Helana, mother of Constantine, the Roman Emperor who ended paganism and declared Christianity the main religion of the Roman Empire.

Day 03

Climb Mt. Sinai and Return

• Set out early in the morning to climb the Mountain of Prophet Moses, Mt. Sinai. Sinai, also called Mt. Horeb, is believed to be the mountain climbed by Moses to receive the Ten Commandments from God.

• Watch the sunrise from behind the summit of the mountain, one of the highest mountains in Egypt. Breakfast at the hotel.

• Drive back to Cairo or Taba to continue your adventure on the other side of Sinai.
