Day 01

Embera Village Visit and Agua Clara Locks Experience

Drive from PTY Airport to the Embera Public Dock on the Gatun River, then take a dugout canoe to reach the village.
On the way to the canoe, you may spot wildlife in the area.
Be welcomed by the leader of the Embera in the village and learn about their background, history, culture, handicrafts, dances, and music.
Enjoy a local Indigenous meal of deep-fried plantains with fried tilapia fish.
Continue to the Agua Clara Locks Visitor Center to observe the infrastructure built for large vessels passing through the Panama Canal.
Ride back to Panama City for drop-off at your reserved hotel.
