Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Colombo and Transfer to Dambulla or Sigiriya

Arrive at Bandaranayake International Airport.
After receiving the necessary information about your tour in Sri Lanka, transfer to Sigiriya or Dambulla.
On the way, visit the Dambulla Temple.

Overnight stay at Sigiriya or Habarana.

Day 02

Sigiriya Rock Fortress and Polonnaruwa Ancient City

After breakfast, leave for Sigiriya and visit the rock fortress, including the world-famous frescoes.
Have lunch at Giritale in a local restaurant, then visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa.
Explore the Palace of King Parakrama Bahu, Parliament, Parakrama Samudraya, and the world-famous rock temple, Gal Viharaya.

Overnight stay at Sigiriya or Habarana.

Day 03

Journey to Kandy with Spice Garden, Temple, and Cultural Show

After breakfast, leave for Kandy; on the way, visit a spice garden and a Hindu temple.
In the evening, enjoy a city tour around Kandy and do some shopping for gems, batiks, handicrafts, and silks.
Visit a cultural dance performance and the Temple of the Tooth.

Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 04

Kandy City Tour and Scenic Drive to Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, visit Kandy city, including the upper lake drive, Kandy Lake, Market Square, the city centre, and Peradeniya Botanical Garden.
Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, the highest land in the country at 2000 m.
On the way, see a few waterfalls and visit a tea estate and tea factory to see how tea is made.
Enjoy lunch at Nuwara Eliya.

Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

Day 05

Nuwara Eliya Walk, Kitulgala Rafting, and Departure

After breakfast, walk around Nuwara Eliya city to visit the market area, post office, and Victoria City Park.
Proceed to Kithulgala and enjoy white water rafting.
After that, continue to your selected beach hotel or the airport.
