Entoto Mountain, Museums and Merkato in Addis Ababa

  1. Visit Entoto Mountain, the site of Ethiopia's capital before Addis Ababa, and enjoy panoramic views of the city with fresh air from the eucalyptus forests.

  2. Explore Entoto Maryam Church and its museum.

  3. Proceed to Addis Ababa via Shiro Meda, the city's largest market for traditional clothes.

  4. Continue to the campus of Addis Ababa University to visit the Ethnological Museum, which features great displays of Ethiopia's many cultures and is housed in the former palace of Haile Selassie.

  5. Visit the National Museum, where Ethiopia's oldest resident, Lucy, is housed.

  6. Go to Selassie (Holy Trinity) Cathedral, one of the most important churches in Addis Ababa and the final resting place of Haile Selassie.
