The itinerary

Day 01

Kathmandu to Chitlang via Chandragiri Hills

Your local tour guide will pick you up from Kathmandu. Drive towards Thankot (Godam Chaur), where you will take a cable car to ascend to the Chandragiri hills. Here, you can see spectacular views of the mountain ranges and peaks. Then, proceed further towards Chitlang.
After lunch, visit the ancient village of Chitlang.
Stay the night at a homestay with a bonfire.

Day 02

Hike from Chitlang to Markhu Village

After breakfast, hike up to Markhu village and capture the beautiful scenery with your camera.
You can go boating on Indra Sarovar Lake, Nepal's largest artificial lake, also known as the Kulekhani Dam.
Stay the night in Markhu village.

Day 03

Chitlang to Chandragiri and Return to Kathmandu

After breakfast, hike back to Chitlang.
Continue hiking up to Chandragiri and take a cable car ride back to Thankot (Godam Chaur).
Start your journey back towards Kathmandu.

Chandragiri Cable Car is a gondola lift transportation system located in Kathmandu, Nepal. Opened in 2016, the Chandragiri Cable Car runs from Thankot to Chandragiri Hills. The 2.4 km (9,095 ft) line has two stations. The cable car system consists of 38 gondolas that can carry 1,000 people per hour.
Chitlang is an ancient Newari settlement in Makwanpur District, which is part of the Narayani Zone. Inscriptions dating back to the Lichchhavi era have been found in this place. It lies in the northern part of Makwanpur District, along the southern main path of the 8,289 ft Chandragiri Hill.
Indra Sarovar lies in the deep gorge between Markhu and Kulekhani Village Development Committee. It was built by the Kulekhani Hydro Project, and it is a 7 km long lake.
