The itinerary

Day 01

Iringa to Ruaha National Park

Meet your guide in Iringa and depart for Ruaha National Park.
Stop at the park entrance gate and learn about Ruaha National Park.
Have lunch at Msembe HQ and check in to the accommodation of your choice.
Go for an evening game-viewing drive along the Great Ruaha River.

Day 02

Wildlife Viewing in Ruaha

Wake up at about 6 am to explore the elusive animals of Ruaha.
Return to enjoy a hearty breakfast at around 9 am.
Leave for a game drive.
Have lunch around 1 pm and head out for another drive.
See crocodiles, hippos, waterbuck, and more by the Ruaha River.

Dinner and overnight at the resting point.

Day 03

Full Day Game Drives in Ruaha

Wake up for an early morning game drive.
Return for breakfast around 9 am and later continue with your game drive.
Enjoy a picnic lunch.
Go for game drives throughout the evening.

Day 04

Mkwawa Museum, Isimila Stone Age Site and Return

Enjoy an early morning drive and then leave for Iringa.
Stop at the Mkwawa Museum and learn about Chief Mkwawa, the Hehe tribe leader who fought the Germans and later shot himself to avoid capture.
After that, drive to the Isimila Stone Age Site, learn more about their ancestors, and see man-made stone tools used for hunting purposes.
Return to Iringa.
