The itinerary

Day 01

Drive from Cairo to El Alamein and Siwa

A representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo.
Drive to El Alamein, about 3 hours away.
At El Alamein, visit the site of a great battle during World War II, along with the WW II Museum and Cemetery.
Drive to the beautiful bay of Marsa Matrouh on the Mediterranean Coast and continue to Siwa. It is about 5 hours of driving from El Alamein to Siwa.

Have dinner in Siwa.

Day 02

Explore Siwa Old City, Gebel al-Mawta, and Alawsut Lake

Have breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a visit to the Old City of Siwa.
Continue to the tombs inside Gebel al-Mawta (the Dead Mountain), where you can see many tombs such as SI Amon, MSW Isis, and the Crocodile Tombs.
Transfer to Abu Sherouf, one of the Siwa villages, to experience Bedouin lifestyles, the Roman Spring, and local handicrafts. Enjoy a spectacular sunset at Alawsut Lake.
Return to your hotel.

Day 03

Temple of Alexander, Cleopatra Bath, and Siwa House Museum

Visit the Temple of Alexander (the Oracle Temple), where he was known as the son of the deity Amun. See the unique Cleopatra Bath natural spring and the Temple of Aghori, dedicated to the God Amon from the 26th Dynasty. Have breakfast at the hotel. Lunch is included.
After this, head on to see the Siwa House Museum. Then, another recommended sunset view at Fitnas Lake is possible.

Day 04

Siwa Desert Safari, Springs, and Sunset

Have breakfast at the hotel. Start the journey into the Siwa Desert. First, stop at Abu Ali Village, where the Tomb of Alexander the Great exists.
Cross the desert to stop near the unique archaeological sign at Great Siwa Mountain, where the first human footprint was found above the mountain, dating back to the prehistoric era.
Continue your safari between the dunes until you arrive at the fossils area and see the rocky coral reefs dating to the Cambrian era.
Drive to one of the spring eyes in the middle of the desert, Shitta Lake, where you may have a good chance to watch flamingo birds. Lunch will be served.
Then it is time for some sand surfing in the desert before going swimming in the cold spring eye. Enjoy the bath and the relaxing atmosphere.
Then it is time to be driven to another spring, a hot spring eye for chilling and tranquillizing your muscles.
End the day by watching the sunset in the desert with a cup of Bedouin tea.
Drive back to your hotel.
