The itinerary

Day 01

Lake Parón Hike through the Callejón de Huaylas

Pick up from your hotel at 6:00 am in Huaraz.
Travel through the Callejón de Huaylas valley.
Pass by the small villages of Paltay, Jangas, Yungar, Anta, and Taricá.
Cross the Río Santa on the left side and appreciate the beauty of the snow-capped mountains of Huandoy, Huascarán, Hualcán, Copa, and others along the way.
Continue through the Marcara district and then on to Carhuaz.
Walk around the Plaza de Armas and proceed to the historic province of Yungay.
Continue to the city of Caraz and begin the unpaved trail that climbs along the Parón River, where many eucalyptus trees can be seen near the typical houses of local peasants.
Drive up through the wonderful valley, full of Polylepis trees known as Quenuales.
Arrive at Lake Parón and enjoy walking around the lake.

Return to your hotel in Huaraz.
