Day by day
Depart from Entebbe to Kampala for an 8-9-hour road journey. En route, meet and interact with the royal drum makers, stop at the Equator, and capture some eye-catching scenery along the way.
Continue to Mbarara and take a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for registration and join others for a gorilla trekking briefing about the dos and don'ts during your trek. Along with your guide, head onto the gorilla trails to find these mighty beasts. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails that allow access to tourists.
Spot other primates, birds, and rare tree species. After finding the gorillas, spend one hour with them before trekking back to the park headquarters.
After breakfast, travel to Kampala or Entebbe, if not taking an outbound flight. En route, make occasional stops to catch a glimpse of Uganda's rural life and watch herdsmen tending to their cattle.
