The itinerary

1
Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, marking the first day of your journey. A representative will be waiting at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.

Overnight in the hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Day 02

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

  • Get picked up by your guide from the hotel early in the morning and escorted to the bus station. The tourist bus to Pokhara usually leaves at around 7:30 am. The scenery along the journey is very beautiful, with pretty terrace farms in the countryside and massive hills covered with verdant forests.

  • Upon arrival in Pokhara, check in at the hotel. In the evening, you may enjoy a leisurely boat ride on the beautiful Fewa Lake and see the reflection of Mount Machhapuchhre and the Annapurna Range on the crystal-clear water of the lake.

Day 03

Pokhara to Tikhedhunga via Nayapul

  • On this day, begin your trek at Nayapul after an hour's drive in a private vehicle from Pokhara.

  • After a short 15-minute walk along the banks of the Modi Khola, reach Birethanti (1,015m), a large village with many shops and teahouses.

  • From there, the trail continues through the village and follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. The trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1,495m, and after a short climb, you shall reach Tikhedhunga at an elevation of 1,570m. The walk is relatively short and easy, serving as a prelude to the trekking experience in the Annapurna region.

Day 04

Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani

  • From Tikhe Dhunga, the trail crosses a jovial stream via a suspension bridge near the campsite. The trail then ascends a steep stone staircase of about 3,300 steps to the large Magar village of Ulleri at 2,080m. Above the village, the trail climbs gently through emerald pastures and cultivated fields. There is a campsite for rest and a water stop one hour's walk above Ulleri. The trail crosses two sparkling streams before making a short final climb to Nangethanti, where you shall stop for lunch. In winter, the trail can be covered with snow.

  • From Nangethanti, climb to Ghorepani at 2,850m. From here, you can see the spectacular panorama of Dhaulagiri I (8,167m), Nilgiri (6,940m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Hiunchuli (6,441m), and more.

Day 05

Sunrise Hike to Poon Hill and Trek to Tadapani

  • This morning, get up early and hike to Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft). From here, you will see a glorious sunrise and a panoramic view of the Himalayas, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and others.

  • After visiting Poon Hill, return to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and continue walking to Tadapani.

Overnight at guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Day 06

Trek to Ghandruk and Return to Pokhara

  • From Tadapani, the trail descends through rich forests to Ghandruk, a village of the Gurung people, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal. From Ghandruk village, enjoy an easy walk downhill to Nayapul, from where you will take a short drive to Pokhara.

Day 07

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

  • Take a beautiful scenic drive back to Kathmandu, where you will see the natural beauty of the land, with wide-open spaces enclosed by massive hills and long stretches of highway.

Day 08

Departure Transfer

  • Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight, the Nepali trekking guide will take you to the airport for your onward journey.

Please bring 2 copies of passport-size photos.
