The Kathmandu Valley has a lot to offer, with its own charming beauty and rich historical background.
Meet your cultural guide, who will take you to the must-see places in Kathmandu.
Spend the day visiting Swayambhunath (a Buddhist temple), Kathmandu Durbar Square (the old Royal Palace), and the old local market full of spices, vegetables, traditional clothing, herbs, and more.
Early in the morning, head to the airport for a short 45-minute flight to Lukla with incredible mountain views.
After meeting the crew in Lukla, you head up the Dudh Koshi River Valley on a gentle walk through the woods.
Trekking Time: approx. 4 hours
Heights: Kathmandu (1350m), Lukla (2840m), Phakding (2600m)
Today you continue north, following the Dudh Koshi River to the prosperous Sherpa village of Khumbu. You enter Sagarmatha National Park via Jorsale and cross the suspension bridge for a steep climb to Namche Bazaar.
You could walk around the local shops and cafes or even enjoy the local nightlife and pool house. Be careful not to overexert yourself, as it is your first day at this altitude. The body needs rest to acclimatize.
Trekking Time: approx. 6 hours
Heights: Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Today is an acclimatization day. Visit the museum and explore the village. If you are in good shape, you can also visit Khunde Hospital and walk up to the Everest View Hotel above Namche for great views of Ama Dablam, Everest, Nuptse, and more.
It's a beautiful walking day today; the river is far below, and the view of the Khumbu peaks, including Mt Everest, rises in front of you. You drop down to the river again and follow a steep climb through the forest to the legendary monastery of Tyangboche.
Trekking Time: approx. 6 hours
Heights: Tyangboche (3860m)
After breakfast, you head up the trail to Dingboche and descend through the stunning forest to Deboche. After crossing the river, you have a short climb to Pangboche.
The river looks stunning from this side, and it also provides an impressive distraction from the trail as you continue up to Dingboche.
Trekking Time: approx. 6 hours
Heights: Dingboche (4300m)
Another day to let your body rest and acclimatize. If you are feeling good, you could go for a hike to nearby hills or to the Chukhung Valley, through which the Imja Khola flows.
You head up a wide valley beneath the impressive peaks of Cholatse and Tawache, then turn right and climb steeply toward the Khumbu Glacier, passing many stone cairns. Continue with a gentle climb along the glacier to reach the cluster of houses at Lobuche.
Trekking Time: approx. 6 hours
Heights: Lobuche (4930m)
It is going to be a hard day. You walk for around 3 hours along the Khumbu Glacier to Gorakshep for lunch.
Then head towards Everest Base Camp. The round trip requires 5-6 hours, following the glacier, moraine, and sometimes the glacier itself. Enjoy the crowning moment at Base Camp and return to Gorakshep for the night.
Trekking Time: approx. 9 hours
Heights: GorakShep (5170m), Everest Base Camp (5350m)
An early wake-up call today to start the climb up Kala Pattar for one of the finest views in the Everest region. Enjoy the sunrise over the mountains and the amazing view of Mt. Everest and its surrounding peaks before returning to Gorakshep for breakfast.
After breakfast, you walk downhill most of the way, retracing your steps to Duglha and then descending into Pheriche.
Trekking Time: 8 hours
Heights: Kala Pattar (5550m), Pheriche (4240m)
You rejoin the Imja Khola and continue along the river to Pangboche before making a gradual walk to Phortse.

Heights: Lukla (2840m)
Wake up early to catch the flight to Kathmandu and say goodbye to the amazing Himalaya.
