Day 01

Biking Through the Zarand Mountains to Fortresses and Monastery

Pick up from your hotel in Arad and bike towards the ridge of the Zarand Mountains.
Arrive at Șiria and begin climbing Șiria Citadel Hill, known for the Șiria Fortress, also referred to by locals as the Fortress Enlightened.
Explore the fortress, a large stone building reinforced with strong towers dating back to the 13th century.
Proceed to the Feredeu Monastery, built near a healing spring that gave the monastery its name, with reference to the famed Feredeu from the Arad vineyard to the Zarand Mountains area.
Enjoy panoramic views of the extensive gardens and vineyards dotted with picturesque wineries and huts.
