The itinerary

Day 01

Drive Through the Mountain Landscapes of Chin State

  • Meet your English-speaking Myanmar trekking guide at an agreed-upon location. Depart from Bagan at 8 am, passing through the oasis area and big mountain ranges on a 7-hour drive.

  • Arrive at Kanpetlet, a very beautiful hill station at 4,000 feet above sea level.

Enjoy the sunset and spend the night at Kanpetlet.

Day 02

Trek Mt. Victoria and Continue to Aye Village

  • Begin with a morning drive from Kanpetlet at 8:30 am to the trekking point on a 1.5-hour drive.

  • Trek to Mt. Victoria, one of the country's national parks. The total 2.5-hour trek goes from the base camp to the summit and then back to a different base camp.

  • Reach Aye village by car on a 1-hour drive.

Overnight stay at Aye village in a local guest house.

Day 03

Discover Chin Hill Tribe Life and Villages

  • Early in the morning, enjoy a beautiful sunrise and explore the way of life of the Chin Hill Tribe in Aye village.

  • Continue to Shame village by car on a 45-minute drive.

  • Trek to Kyerdoe village on a 45-minute walk and observe the culture and traditions of the Chin Hill tribes.

  • Visit Lote-Bell village and Pukwan village, then walk down to a string bridge built across Makee Creek.

  • Cross Makee Creek and drive back to Mindat in about 45 minutes.

Overnight stay in Mindat.

Day 04

Visit the Market and Meet the Makaan Tribe

  • Early in the morning, visit a small market in town and proceed to a small village, where you will enjoy a nose-flute performance by Makaan ladies of the Makaan tribe.

  • Leave for Mindat at around 10 in the morning. Drive for around 6 hours to Pakukku, passing through Kyauk-Htu and Pauk townships. From Pakukku, it is just a 45-minute drive to Bagan across Pakukku Bridge, the longest bridge in Myanmar.

Overnight stay at Bagan.
