Meet up with your guide in Moshi and begin the tour.
Drive from Marangu gate and pass through attractive villages to Nalemoru gate.

The distance covered will be 6 km, and the Hiking Time will be around 3-4 hours.
Overnight stay in Budget Lodging at Simba Camp and the meals included are Lunch and Dinner.
-
Day 2: Simba Camp to Kikelelwa Camp (2650 m/8700 ft to 3450 m/11,300 ft)
Have a steady ascent to the Second Caves, where you will stop for lunch.
Experience superb scenic views of Kibo and Mawenzi Peaks. Leave the direct trail at this point and strike out across the moorland on a smaller path toward Mawenzi peak to Kikelelwa Camp in a sheltered valley.
Settle for your dinner and overnight rest.
The distance covered will be 6 km, and the Hiking Time will be around 3-4 hours.
Overnight stay in Budget Lodging at Second Cave Camp and the meals included are Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
-
Day 3: Kikelelwa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Camp (3450 m/11,300 ft to 3600 m/11,800 ft)
Face a short, steep climb up grassy slopes; rewarded by superb all-around views, immersed in the vast surrounding wilderness.
Leave the vegetation behind and arrive at the Mawenzi Tarn Camp, situated in a spectacular hollow directly beneath the towering spires of Mawenzi Peak.
See the amazing non-drying lake with no inlet or outlet. You will have lunch and then rest for dinner and overnight at this camp.
The distance covered will be 9 km, and the Hiking Time will be around 2-3 hours.
Overnight stay in Budget Lodging at Kikelewa Camp and the meals included are Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
-
Day 4: Acclimatisation day at Mawenzi Tarn Camp

Spend two nights at Mawenzi Tarn.
-

Cross the ‘Saddle’ lunar desert between Mawenzi and Kibo to reach the Kibo campsite at the bottom of the Kibo crater wall. The remainder of the day is spent resting in preparation for the final ascent very early in the morning.
The distance covered will be 9 km, and the Hiking Time will be around 4-5 hours.
Overnight stay in Budget Lodging at Kibo Hut Camp and the meals included are Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

DAY 6: Kibo Camp to Summit to Horombo Hut (4700 m/15,500 ft to 5895 m/19,340 ft, Down to 3700 m/12,200 ft
Start very early in the morning (midnight around 00 hrs) and commence the climb to the summit on steep and heavy scree or snow up to Gilman’s Point located on the crater rim (elevation 5700 m/18,700 ft). The beginning of this climb is done in the dark and requires headlamps or flashlights. It will be freezing until you start descending, so you will need all of your warm clothing. This is by far the most difficult part of the trek, with many switchbacks. Going slowly or "pole, pole” in Kiswahili and an optimistic attitude will get you there!
Ascend to Uhuru Peak, which is the highest point in Africa. There are unbelievable views at every turn. Have your pictures taken at the summit to show your friends and family.
Descend from here, stop for lunch and rest at Kibo hut before continuing to the Horombo Hut.
The distance covered will be 6 km up, 15 km down, and the Hiking Time will be around 6-8 hours up 4 hours down.

Descend steadily down through moorland to the Mandara Hut.
Continue descending through the lush forest path to the National Park gate at Marangu. At lower elevations, it can be wet and muddy. Shorts and t-shirts will probably be plenty to wear (keep rain gear and warmer clothing handy).
