Day 01

Yerevan City Tour and Armenian Cooking Master Class

  • Visit the following places on your city tour:

    • Matenadaran - a depository of ancient books and manuscripts.

    • Cascade and the Opera House.

    • The Memorial of the Armenian Genocide, Armenia's official memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

    • The Gum Market, with dried and fresh fruits and vegetables.

  • Also, attend a master class with a famous Armenian cook at Ararat Hall.

Day 02

Sanahin, Haghpat, Akhtala and Dolma Cooking in Akner

  • Visit the following:

    • Sanahin and Haghpat.

    • Akhtala, a UNESCO World Heritage monastery.

  • Cook Armenian Dolma, a family of stuffed vegetable dishes, in the village of Akner. There are 2 kinds of Dolma: Summer dolma - forcemeat inside cabbage leaves, eggplants, tomatoes, and peppers - and Winter dolma - forcemeat inside vine leaves.

Day 03

Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery and Norgyugh Market

  • Visit:

    • Garni pagan temple, the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia.

    • Geghard Spear Monastery, a medieval monastery.

  • Try to make it to the open-air market in the village of Norgyugh, where you can enjoy Khorovats, a barbecue of pork, lamb, or chicken.

Lake Sevan, Hayravank and Selim Caravansaray

  • Visit:

    • Lake Sevan, the Pearl of Armenia.

    • Hayravank Monastery and Noratus Cross-stones Cemetery.

    • Selim Pass and Selim Caravansaray, pointing north to Vayots Dzor and south toward the mountainous lands in Iran.

  • Enjoy a delicious Armenian dish, Karshym, a brand-new addition to the cuisine.
