The itinerary

Day 01

Mount Aragats Hike and Yerevan Heritage

Visit Amberd, a 10th-century fortress, and Stone Lake.
Start hiking the southern peak of Mount Aragats (4000 m).
Visit the Armenian Alphabet Monuments, Saghmosavank - the Monastery of Psalms - and enjoy a nice view of the Kasagh Gorge.

Overnight at a hotel in Yerevan.

Day 02

Lori Region and Stepanavan Dendropark

Enjoy a drive north to the stunning Lori region.
Take a walk in Stepanavan Dendropark, a large park with thousands of trees and flowers near the village of Gyulagarak.
Hike to Hnevank monastery, a 7th-12th century Armenian Apostolic Church monastery.

Overnight at a hotel in Stepanavan.

Day 03

UNESCO Monasteries of Alaverdi and Vanadzor

Continue the trip to sleepy Alaverdi, once an industrial town.
Move on to the next destinations - Sanahin, Haghpat, and Akhtala monasteries, listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Hike to Kayan fortress, a medieval Armenian fortress.

Day 04

Lastiver Waterfall and Historic Dilijan

Drive northeast to begin an unforgettable hike to the magic waterfall and cave situated in Lastiver Desert near Ijevan.
Visit an old Shamamberyan street in Dilijan, still stuck in the 19th century, and observe carpet weaving by local women in a showroom.

Day 05

Dilijan National Park and Lake Sevan

Continue the journey through Dilijan National Park, a protected area renowned for its serene lakes, picturesque hill trails, and peaceful villages.
Hike to Cristall Lake on the slope of the mountain.
Visit Goshavank and Haghartsin, fairy-tale monasteries set amidst flower-filled meadows.
Reach Lake Sevan, the Pearl of Armenia.
Enjoy the scenery and take a 20-minute walk on the Akhtamar Trail.

Return to Yerevan.
