The itinerary

Day 01

Curtea de Argeș, Poenari Ruins and Vidraru Dam

Start your trip from Bucharest at 9 am.
Visit Curtea de Argeș Monastery, the only monastery in Romania that revolves more around legends than religion. The most famous legend is that of the pregnant woman trapped inside the walls and the death of Master Manole, who tried to fly with wooden wings. Listen to other legends about this place and see the tombs of some of Romania's greatest kings inside the mortuary, such as Carol I, the founder of Sinaia Castle.
Continue to Poenari Village, where the ruins of Vlad the Impaler's castle remain. Climb more than 1,000 medieval stairs from the bottom of the hill to the ruins.
Head to Vidraru Dam, situated amid the wild yet serene Carpathian Mountains.
Take a lunch break at a traditional local cuisine restaurant. Vegetarian options are available.
Leave for Bucharest by 6 pm and arrive by 8:30 pm.

Know before you go

Documents Required:
- Govt ID proof for all passengers - kindly carry the original and a Xerox copy as well.
- Govt ID such as a voter's card, passport, or any other ID recognized by the Govt.
- PAN card and Aadhar card are not accepted as ID for getting a permit for the Changu Lake tour and North Sikkim Pass.
- Documents are required for all passengers travelling.
- Passport-size photograph: 4 passport-size photographs for each passenger.

Documents will be collected on the 1st day of arrival in Gangtok.
If you wish to extend the trip to Nathula, kindly notify us in advance, and additional charges apply.
Foreign nationals should get an Inner Line Permit before entering Sikkim. Passport copies and photographs should be sent at least one week before arrival to arrange for Changu Lake. The Inner Line Permit can be arranged on the same day before entering Sikkim.
Any Indian guest holding a foreign passport who does not hold a PIO card or any Indian Govt ID proof will be treated as a foreign national and should get the Inner Line Permit for their stay in Sikkim.
