Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.
In the afternoon, enjoy an orientation tour including the Victory Monument, Wat That Luang, the Central Market, Wat Sisaket, and the Wat Prakeo National Museum.

Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, transfer to the hotel.
Begin exploring this charming town with a visit to Wat Xieng Thong, arguably the most stunning temple in the country, admired for its brilliant mosaics.
Continue to the Palace Museum, which houses an eclectic collection including statues, mosaic-covered walls, French mirrors, and a piece of moon rock given to "the people of Laos" by President Nixon.
Late in the afternoon, head to the top of Mt Phousi for panoramic views of the city and the surrounding hills. The mountain is dotted with small shrines and monasteries, and it is a perfect spot for sunset, when the golden spires of the wats are beautifully illuminated.
Rise early to witness the monks in their morning meal procession.
Return to the hotel for breakfast.
Proceed on an excursion up the Mekong River to the holy caves of Pak Ou, where some of the most famous Buddhist sculptures in Southeast Asia can be found.
Reboard your boat and travel downstream to a rice-wine-producing village on the banks of the Mekong.
Visit Ban Phanom, a tribal village well known for its traditional Lao weaving in cotton and silk.
Purchase some of these beautiful and inexpensive hand-woven clothes.
Return to your hotel for the evening.
Embark on an excursion by road to Khouangsi Falls and the Akha hill tribe village beneath the falls.
A picnic lunch will be provided at the falls.
Later in the afternoon, return to Luang Prabang and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
After breakfast, spend your free time at leisure.
