The itinerary

Day 01

Houyxai to Pakbeng via Mekong Tribal Villages

Travel across the Mekong River on your own, where your guide will greet you on the Lao side at immigration and help you obtain your Lao visa.
After getting the visa, continue by tuk-tuk to the boat pier. On the way, stop at Mekong tribal villages to understand their life and culture.

Day 02

Pakbeng to Luang Prabang Cruise

After breakfast, board your boat and cruise downstream to Luang Prabang.
Visit Whisky Village and the silk weaving village near Pak Ou Cave.
Arrive in Luang Prabang before sunset.

Day 03

Temples, Museum, and Markets of Luang Prabang

After breakfast, visit the temples of Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Mai, and Wat Visoun, as well as the National Museum.
Indulge in some shopping at the local markets.
