Luang Prabang Heritage, Villages and Kuang Si Falls
Get picked up from your hotel by an English-speaking Luang Prabang tour guide and driver.
Visit the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum (closed every Tuesday).
Walk up the significant stupa for local residents, called Phou Si.
Continue to Wat Xieng Thong, the most beautiful and oldest temple in the city.
Before heading to Ban Xang Khong, visit a village famous for handmade paper and textile silk weaving.
Return to the city centre for lunch.
Head to Kuang Si Falls, about 30 km south of Luang Prabang by car.
Visit the Hmong tribal village of Ban Na Ouan on the way.
Stop at Ban Ou Meuangkhai village for pictures of the terraced rice paddy fields and to see local life.
Arrive at the waterfall and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Swim or relax near the clear pools of the terraced limestone formations.
Visit the nearby sanctuary to take pictures of rescued black bears playing with their toys.
Stop at Vat Pha Battai for views of the Mekong River.
Drop back at your hotel in Luang Prabang.
