- Visit the Royal Palace, including its Khmer-style Throne Hall built in 1866, as well as the Silver Pagoda, an extravagant temple, and Wat Phnom, a Buddhist temple.
- Sightsee at the Genocide Museum, the memorial site of the S-21 interrogation and detention center of the Khmer Rouge regime.
- Head to the Central Market or the Russian Market.
