Day 01

Phnom Penh Landmarks, History and Local Markets

Visit the Royal Palace, including its Khmer-style Throne Hall built in 1866, as well as the Silver Pagoda, an extravagant temple, and Wat Phnom, a Buddhist temple.
Sightsee at the Genocide Museum, the memorial site of the S-21 interrogation and detention center of the Khmer Rouge regime.
Head to the Central Market or the Russian Market.

Day 02

Killing Fields and National Museum

Visit the Killing Fields (Choeung Ek), one of the biggest killing sites in Phnom Penh that played a key role in shaping the city's history.
Visit the National Museum, Cambodia's largest museum of cultural history, in the afternoon.

Day 03

Silk Island Excursion and Departure

Take a boat ride across the Mekong River to Silk Island, near Phnom Penh. See how local Cambodian people live in the riverside countryside and make silk for a living.
Return in the late afternoon to see the beautiful sunset reflected on the river.
