The itinerary

1
Day 01

Johannesburg Arrival and Kruger Night Drive

  • Arrive at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

  • Meet a representative from Wild Planet Safari and transfer directly to Kruger National Park.

  • Stop for lunch on the way and reach the park gate in the early afternoon.

  • Take a slow game drive to camp and check in for 2 nights at Rondawell camp.

  • After check-in, enjoy dinner before heading out on a Kruger night drive.

  • A Kruger ranger will accompany guests with a powerful spotlight, searching for animals that are active after dark, such as lions, leopards, serval, civet, hyena, porcupine, honey badger, and much more.

Overnight stay at camp.

Day 02

Sunrise Safari, Sabie River and Satara

  • Just before sunrise, meet for a cup of coffee before departing on a sunrise safari drive.

  • Drive along the Sabie River and look for animals such as elephants, lions, and hippopotamuses.

  • Upon returning to camp, have breakfast and later enjoy a river walk before leaving Skukuza.

  • Travel north to Satara.

  • On the way, stop for lunch at a popular picnic site before continuing through lion territory. Guests may get the lucky chance to see a rare white lioness.

  • Arrive at Satara in the late afternoon, just in time for sunset.

  • Enjoy views of the camp water hole, which is illuminated at night and attracts many animals.

  • After check-in, relax and explore some of the camp facilities before dinner is served.

Day 03

Predator Safari in the Satara Area

  • Set out on an early morning safari drive in the Satara area.

  • Look out for the predators that make this area their home, including leopard, lion, hyena, cheetah, and wild dog.

  • Enjoy breakfast at a picnic site before returning to camp.

  • Once back at camp, relax, take a walk along the fence to spot animals, or cool off in the swimming pool.

  • After lunch, head out on an afternoon safari.

  • Return to camp at sunset and enjoy dinner around the fire in the park.

Day 04

Panorama Route and Return to Johannesburg

  • Enjoy a relaxed start to the day and have breakfast at around 8:00 am.

  • After breakfast, leave camp and take a slow drive towards the exit gate.

  • On the route back to Johannesburg, enjoy the famous Panorama Route, one of the most scenic routes in South Africa. The road leads towards the Drakensberg Escarpment, the very end of the longest mountain range in Southern Africa.

  • Stop to admire beautiful viewpoints, especially Blyde River Canyon, the largest green canyon in the world.

  • Stop at a local restaurant for lunch.

  • Reach Johannesburg between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

  • Drop-off is at your next night's accommodation or at the airport for your onward flight.
