Doi Ang Khang Trek, Twin Royal Pagoda and Vachiratharn Waterfall
Set out for a short trek to Doi Ang Khang, which offers a spectacular panorama of the surrounding landscape. The reserve is of great interest to trekkers and nature lovers because of its unique ecosystem. Bird watchers can enjoy spotting birds of different colours and sizes, as this remarkable habitat is home to 362 species. Between December and February, red and white rhododendrons bloom here, and they are not found anywhere else in Thailand.
See the Twin Royal Pagoda, namely Phra Maha Dhatu Nabha Metaneedon and Phra Maha Dhatu Nabhapol Bhumisiri. They were built by the Royal Thai Army on the auspicious occasion of King Bhumipol's 60th birthday celebration in 1987 and Queen Sirikit's 60th birthday in 1992. The beautiful gardens and panoramic views are sure to leave visitors in awe of this place.
