Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City and Summer Palace
- Pick up by your Beijing guide from your hotel at about 8:30 am, or at any time you prefer.
- Visit Tian'anmen Square, the symbolic heart of China and a gathering place for the masses.
- Explore the largest public square in the world and see legendary landmarks, including the Gate of the People, the Monument to the People's Heroes, Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall, and the National Museum.
- Proceed to the Forbidden City, home to 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The Forbidden City was once truly a forbidden place, where commoners were kept out for nearly 500 years.
Enjoy a typical Chinese lunch at a local restaurant.
Continue to the Summer Palace, the best-preserved and largest existing royal garden in Beijing.
Explore the Summer Palace, a virtual museum of traditional Chinese gardening design that integrates the natural landscape of hills and open water with manmade features such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples, and bridges into a harmonious and aesthetically exceptional whole.
