9-Day Annapurna Base Camp Trek from Kathmandu via Pokhara and Begnas

• Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, where you will be escorted to your hotel.

• After check-in and refreshments, join a brief session with the tour consultant. Then, spend the rest of the day at your leisure to rest or explore the sights of the valley.

• After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Kathmandu Valley's major historical, cultural and spiritual attractions.

• Visit World Heritage Sites such as the historic Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambunath Temple and Bouddhanath Stupa.

• Later in the afternoon, join a brief discussion with the mountain guide and the other team members who will accompany you. Then, spend the remaining time at your leisure.

Overnight at Hotel.

• Start early in the morning to board a tourist bus to Pokhara, an enchanting city dotted with numerous lakes. Stop en route for lunch, and enjoy views of mountains such as Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, the five peaks of Annapurna and other Himalayan peaks.

• Take an evening stroll alongside the lakeside city.

• After a refreshing breakfast, drive to Bijayapur Khola, the starting point of the trek. Begin with a hike through flat paddy fields until crossing the point of a riverbed. From here, the trail starts to ascend to Kalikasthan. Lunch is taken midway through the climb.

• Reach Kalikasthan and rest or explore the surrounding areas.

• After a hearty breakfast, continue hiking to Syaklung, crossing quaint villages where people have retained their old lifestyles.

• Hike through beautiful rhododendron forest along a mountain ridge, which offers a fantastic view of the Annapurna mountain range.

• Reach Lamjung Himal, a snow-capped summit.

Overnight at Mountain Lodge.

• From Syaklung, entertain yourself with a game of 'Hide & Seek' in the dense rhododendron and sal forests by the time you reach Chisapani.

• Climb through gradients of 400 m descent and 600 m ascent before finally arriving at the top of Chisapani, which offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayan panorama.

Overnight at Mountain Lodge.

• Savour a hearty breakfast before hiking downhill to Rupatal and then uphill to Sundare Danda. From here, it is a 15-minute walk down to Begnas Tal, where you can enjoy an hour of boating.

• Drive to Pokhara and check in at a hotel. Later, you can either rest or explore the lakeside.

Overnight at the hotel.

• Take the early morning tourist bus or private transport back to Kathmandu. You can also consider taking a flight back to Kathmandu. The scenic route makes the long bus journey interesting.
